Wright Hair & Co. is an appointment-only hair salon at 124 Ridout Street South in Old South. The menu includes women’s and men’s cuts, colour, children’s appointments, and bridal styling. The owner and operator, Dodie, has run the salon since 2009.
Wright Haircuts: what’s included
A haircut starts at $65 with a wash and rough dry. A round-brush blowout is a separate service. Barber cuts start at $35, with a cut-and-beard option from $55; the barber-cut description covers hair no longer than the chin. Children aged 10 and under start at $30 and include a wash and rough dry.
The menu advertises 10% off a student cut. Ask which service qualifies and what ID to bring. Prices are starting points, with HST extra.
Colour and special occasions
Colour prices do not include a haircut, toner, treatment, or tax. Bridal hair and makeup have separate on-site and off-site rates. Extension enquiries need a consultation; don’t book a normal cut expecting an installation.
Spray tanning
The spray-tan menu lists a Rapid Tan at $90. Before booking, ask how long the appointment takes, when to rinse and what preparation and aftercare you’ll need. Confirm the current price and whether tax is extra.
Cancellation and deposits
Give the salon at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. With less notice, or if you miss the appointment, you lose your deposit. This also applies to appointments booked within 72 hours of the visit.
The general deposit section lists $25 for haircuts and $50–$100 for colour, paid by e-transfer and credited towards your service. A separate note requires a $100 non-refundable deposit for first-time colour clients. Confirm which terms apply when you book.
Rescheduling has a separate rule: the cancellation policy says your deposit goes towards the new appointment when you move it within 48 hours. Check with the salon before changing your booking.
