Shear Experience is an independently owned Aveda salon in Byron. Founder Tony moved the salon to Glenrose Drive in 1988.
Shear Experience cuts and styling
Medium and long cuts include wash, cutting, blowdry and styling. Clipper cuts and men’s scissor cuts have separate bookings. Children’s cuts are available with or without a wash; discuss the child’s age when reserving.
Blowouts and formal updos are separate appointments, with accessories extra for updos. The perm service includes a haircut.
Colour and the Rejuvenating Treatment
Root retouch, half-head highlights, full highlights and balayage have different starting prices. Toner refresh includes blowdry and styling; discuss finishing for other colour appointments. Tax is extra, and consultation can change the quote.
The 90-minute Rejuvenating Treatment includes a choice of Aveda treatments, scalp, neck and hand massage, warm towels, hair steaming and a blowdry finish.
Deposits and parking
Services over $100 require a card and a $50 non-refundable deposit. Give 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule; late changes forfeit the deposit, and no-shows may be invoiced up to the full service value. Free parking is available on both sides of the building.
